Actual measurement of the effectiveness of the anti-fall device of Wuxi Kenke heavy-duty welding manipulator.
We use a crane to lift the boom connecting the boom carriage upwards, causing the chain to loosen and simulating the situation where the welding manipulator's lifting chain breaks.
Then the crane run downward. At this moment, the chain is loosen. If there is no anti-fall device, the boom will slide down freely along the column.
As you can be seen in the video, at this time, the boom has not slid down and the chain is also in a relaxed state, which indicating that the anti-fall device has taken effect.
The working principle of the anti-fall device is that there are eccentric ratchets on both sides of the boom carriage(the yellow part), which are held by a chain. At the moment the boom drops, the chain drives the ratchets to rotate, locking the cross arm onto the guide rail of the column and preventing it from sliding down.
The actual measurement has proved that this anti-fall device is effective and reliable. It can lock the boom on the guide rail when the chain breaks unexpectedly, avoiding further damage to the machine and personnel caused by the fall of the boom.
